The city of Vlora in the first 10 months of this year has become one of the most popular destinations for local and foreign visitors.
Vlora Port Director Admir Malaj told the ATSH that the <x0 number of travelers who came by ferry to the port of Vlora for January-October is about 75 thousand passengers, while about 85 thousand passengers have left the port of Vlora”.
According to him, of the 75 thousand travelers who entered the port of Vlora 21 497 have been foreigners, while 21853 foreigners have been released.
However, the presence of a high flow of entry at the port border point of Vlora this year is linked to the structure of foreign travelers, which this year has been 2,000 more than in the same period last year”, Malaj stressed.
Malaj said that “over the summer months the flow has been higher, as it continues to be one of the opening points of foreign tourists coming for holidays in our country”.
But, Malaj adds, at the port point of Vlora, work has been intensified throughout the year, and personnel needed to cope with the flow of ferry processing, especially during the tourist season.
The new passenger terminal at the port of Vlora played an important role in the processing of travelers this year.
This terminal has enabled the ranks of passengers in time of flow. Overall, in the tourist season, while the same is expected to happen at the holiday season, when many of the countrymen will come to the party”, Malaj added.
According to him, it is currently being worked at the port with 5 passenger processing sports and 4 cars.
The beautiful coast, the reasonable prices, the conspicuously improved infrastructure, and the attractive spaces, such as Django with numerous bars, or the recently reconsidered boulevard, Vlora-Skel, make up some of the factors and strengths for high indicators of foreign tourists from different parts of the world.
Tourist ships are also operating at the port of Vlora during the summer months, each day heading for the island of Saban and the Karaburun Peninsula. In May alone until August, Saban and Karaburun have visited 37 thousand local and foreign tourists.
