The Kosovo Energy Corporation has achieved what no one has expected in the past ten years.
Energy production giant in Kosovo, despite conditions and age, according to the director of this corporation, Njazi Thaci, has turned from a state budget burden to a contributor and guarantor of the security of the electricity supply to Kosovo citizens.
Those achieved, he has unveiled at the first conference after Kosovo's membership in CIGRE, which is under way in Pristina.
“As for KEK, I am very happy that in the last 10 years with an effective strategy and with a huge commitment we have achieved, almost what has been impossible, starting in the stability of generation units, new cuts, coal production and the improved environment we have inherited in the most alarming state of land and air pollution. More than that, we have managed to turn the Corporation from a state budget burden to a contributor and to guarantee security and electricity supply to Kosovo citizens”, Thaci has indicated.
It considers it to be thanks to the good management and dedication of professional workers and engineers.
All of this thanks to the good management, commitment of workers, and especially dedicated professional engineers who have managed to maintain optimum stabilisation for production despite their age”, Thaci has said.
He has encouraged young engineers to seize opportunities to be part of CIGRE, increasing and improving the knowledge and range of engineering achievements in general.
