Former Soviet leader says the world is in enormous danger

Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev has warned that the current tension between Russia and the West is placing the world in the colossal “risking” due to the threat of nuclear weapons.

In an interview with the BBC's Steve Rosenberg, former President Gorbachev called for all countries to declare that nuclear weapons must be destroyed.

While weapons of mass destruction exist, initially those nuclear weapons, the risk is enormous. All nations seem to claim that nuclear weapons must be destroyed. This has to happen to save ourselves and the entire planet, he said, follow the periscope.
