Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, has held a government meeting. Rama has since declared that the number of victims has gone to 49.
“In Durres are listed as 25 victims, in Kruja 23 and one in Kurbin. Residents must leave their tents and accommodate themselves in hotels. The initial balance of contributions is encouraging. Businessmen Behgjet Pacolli and Shefqet Kastrati have donated 2.5m euros, but the money has not yet been put into bank accounts because banks are off-time”.
