According to the coalition announcement for Integrity and Transparency at the University (KITU), composed of Admovere; Development Democracy (D4D); Kosovar Open Society Foundation (KFOS); The Kosovar Institute for Policy Research and Development (KIPRED); Quality Growth Organisation in Education (ORCA); Get up; Centre for Education of Kosovo (KEC); The Centre for Political Treatment (CPC), concerned about continuing violations, as well as the unwillingness of educational institutions for the company of the measures, organises on Wednesday, December 4th, protest march at “Positioning in High Education!”.
“Aware of the importance and role of ethics and academic integrity K The ITU is extremely concerned with the decisions of the UP's Ethics Council, regarding the claims of coalition partners ADMVERE and O RCA, with which decisions are amnist plagiarism and academic fraud. The Ethics Council answers that they have no mandate or professional opportunity to review the allegations are unacceptable to the Coalition and as such considered unrealistic. As civil society organisations, we consider that for two years now we have taken all institutional means of addressing problems through reports, tables, campaigns, meetings and other forms. The university's lack of seriousness now leads us to use other democratic means, so on December 4th, 2019, we invite all citizens, students, student organisations, civil society organisations to move on the march with the requirements for establishing the commission to verify plagiarities and establishing the commission to verify academic titles”, the report says.
