Director of the Directorate for Pre-university Education in this ministry, Alush Istog, announced to Radio Kosovo that on the basis of administrative guidelines, they will now apply for license and private education teachers. He said all public and private teachers should be licensed.
“We have notified all directors of private colleges and schools to report teachers who meet the conditions under administrative guidelines and, according to the norms on the framework of general and professional education, to have the opportunity to apply for license. Of course, they are also allowed to obtain a license based on administrative instruction. This is the first time we've given this information to the licenses of educational workers in private institutions”, Istog said.
Ymer Ymer, from the Education Union, said that to license teachers, in addition to the faculty's degree, they should have their respective training. He said he has been asked by the State License Council to make a complement of the administrative license directive to clear the 100-hour training condition.
The teacher's license is 5-year-old. Teachers who start work for the first time will have one year's work relations. The school, however, is obliged to assign a mentor to convey the teaching work, and at the end of the year it is a performance assessment. If this performance is positive, the contract is continued and has the right to apply for license”, Ymer said.
