The Brazilian midfielder had to be replaced after 18 minutes of play after a duel with Hirriving Lozano.
“Leverpool can confirm that Fabinho suffered damage to his leg wrongdoing during the meeting at the Champions League with Naples in the midweek”.
“Further assessment of the damage has revealed that Fabinho will remain out of action by the New Year”.
“Brazilian will launch a rehabilitation programme with the Reds medical team in Melwood”, Liverpool's announcement reported.
According to English media, Fabinho is expected to be missing about eight weeks and be returned in January 2020.
