Eight people were tried on charges of planning and conducting weapons attacks. One of them was acquitted.
The 12-hour battle was the deadliest terrorist attack in Bangladesh. Most of the victims were from Italy and Japan, writes BBC, translates Periscope.
The responsibility was claimed by the Islamic State [for the attack] I SIS], but Bangladesh did not accept that, claiming there was evidence of a local militant group.
