A large number of Durres residents are fleeing to Kosovo. Tens of buses with residents have been leaving since yesterday to seek refuge there.
But an incident has been recorded today in the earthquake-torn city. A group from the Roma community claim they are barred from boarding buses towards Kosovo.
Transport was enabled by community activists “Skender”, which contributed to people affected by the earthquake.
They have provided transportation to the municipality and then housing and food until the emergency situation is complete. But some Roma community residents claim they are not allowed to board the bus because they are colored.
These Roma community residents add that they have been discriminated against to the point that even food has not been able to provide from Kosovo activists.
I went somewhere to go. I went to the mayor, I left my mother with two heart attacks, I wrote my name in region 1. We're God's mud”, the woman stressed.
But this has been denied by those responsible for gathering people.
We don't share, get in with cameras and see. There are Roma and Albanians, we are all people of God”, the woman involved in gathering people stressed.
