The Council for Protection of Human Rights and Freedoms opposes increased vehicle insurance tax from insurance companies.
Through a media communiqué KMDLNJ makes it top responsible The CEC, which, instead of playing the role of regulator of these companies, is becoming part of the active extortion of the Kosovo citizens' budget.
KMDLNJ response:
Kosovo Insurance companies demanded from the BQK to be allowed an increase of 36.5% for vehicle insurance, while the CEC was shown by “-deserved” against them and with “bujare” on citizens allowing growth of 21.5% for auto insurance, which is in full opposition to citizens' financial opportunities as if this is much higher than official inflation in Kosovo.
Since the end of the war, security companies in Kosovo have set insurance fees in view of the interest and benefits of those who have run companies, who have been the executive instrument of criminalised politicians who managed this facility through their families or political influence. For years, it continues even now, that fellow travelers from the diaspora have been forced to pay “haracin” during Kosovo's entry with the reason that, since Kosovo is not part of the Green Carton, they are obliged to implement this completely discriminated payment and not done in other countries. The Kosovo Insurance Bureau has argued that more than 100,000 unregistered and unsured vehicles are circulated in Kosovo and therefore split into losses, while their salaries are no different from their colleagues in the world's most developed countries.
The circulation of over 100,000 unscheduled and unregistered vehicles, according to the Kosovo Bureau of Insurance, presents also one of the main obstacles Kosovo is not part of the Green Carton at the same time that Kosovo is represented by the lowest professional level, which has not represented citizens' interest except personal and policy interest. The Kosovo Insurance Bureau, at all times, has been following through on corrupts and financial mismanagement, while it has never managed to build and stabilise a management, professional and sustainable pyramid.
Citizens of Kosovo, regular insurance payment for their cars cannot and should not be penalised by covering the losses to insurance companies due to 100,000 ungurged and unregistered cars, as well as poor revenues management.
KMDLNj thinks that exactly lowering the tariff prices for insurance and vehicle registration may have a big impact on reducing the number of 100,000 undocumented and unregistered cars. The announced increase in tariffs from insurance companies, with the discriminatory consent of the BQC, will only increase the number of 100,000 unscathed and untrained vehicles.
The failure to co-operate between the Kosovo Insurance Bureau and the Kosovo Police also contributes to the increase in the number of undocumented and unregistered vehicles, as well as pledges the legal divide of insurance companies' market percentages, which are then easily manipulated with tariffs and prices, always at the expense of the interest of Kosovo citizen and diaspora.
