The incumbent Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, has said that the 100% tariff in Serbia's goods is a strategic witness measure and must remain until the recognition of the state of Kosovo.
Through a Facebook post, Haradinaj has said that setting the fee on Serbian goods since November last year has also greatly influenced local producers.
“A year ago, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo has taken one of the boldest decisions since its declaration of independence, with the 100% tariff being imposed on Serbia's goods as a measure towards the aggressive Serbian state campaign. With this important step, Kosovo has shown that Serbia cannot give tasks, while international friends do not submit to the Serbian state. Setting the fee on Serbian goods from November last year has also greatly influenced local producers' empowerment. In essence, this move has delegated the partitioning project of Kosovo, which is hidden in the idea of correcting borders. This measure has proved strategic and should remain until recognition of the state of Kosovo”, Haradinaj has further written.
