Accompanied by the head of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, the German delegation assured that Albanians will be near them.
“We have come to see which buildings will be used consistently and which will be rebuilt. We have a financial assistance from the EU, but also from EU member states, but from other countries. We still don't have an exact estimate of injuries that happened. This can certainly take days, weeks to reach an accurate conclusion. Fight to make this part available to residents as well as tourists. It would be very important that you in the Bundestag or near the German government, of course, seek a financing for earthquake damage here in Albania”-the Balla.
The German MP said aid should not be missed for Albania, and the EU should provide assistance in overcoming this social drama: “We must stay close to the Albanian people. We are close to victims and family members who have lost their families or those who have lost their homes, or even to those citizens who do not yet know whether their dwellings are habitable to live. There is certainly a distrust of the structure of the apartment where they live. It was good to have had an intervention by various EU countries. There's been a quick intervention. I want to thank the Albanian authorities because they have done much to manage the crisis, and certainly to help foreign countries come here to manage the situation at the same time. We must move to phase two, Albania must not stand alone with this heavy burden, which cannot be maintained solely by Albania. The assistance and assistance should come from the EU, and I will certainly take with me these impressions that I have experienced, for tourism and the lives of residents” he said.
