On Sunday, on the third day of emergency situations, more than 100 fires were still active in New Regions South Wales and Queensland.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison said he may seek military assistance to support the 1,300 firefighters who have engaged in the fight against fires in these two regions.
Hundreds of civilians have also submitted as volunteers to provide assistance in the affected areas.
My “prayers today are for those who have lost their lives and for their families”, Prime Minister Morrison said.
Officials warned that extreme weather conditions could bring more fires over the next week, not excluding either the big city, Sydney.
In Queensland, thousands of people spent the night in shelters at the time when officials were trying to make evaluations about whether their return home is safe or not.
Firefighters have confirmed that more than 150 houses were destroyed by fire. Meteorologists have predicted hot and dry weather for next week, and it is expected that the emergency state of fires will continue, writes “BBC”,
