A foreign affairs adviser to Vice President Mike Pence is witnessing today behind closed doors in the investigation targeting President Donald Trump and aimed at raising charges for his dismissal.

Jennifer Williams was one of those who heard President Donald Trump's call in July, where he asked Ukrainian President Voldymyr Zelenskiy to launch an investigation that could politically help Mr. Trump.

Representatives Chamber investigators are trying to learn how much Vice President Pence knew about Mr. Trump's efforts for Ukraine to investigate one of his Democrats for the 2020 presidential elections, former Vice President Joe Biden, at a time when Mr. Trump had temporarily blocked a $331m military aid to Kiev, writes Voa.

Adviser Jennifer Williams was present during the call, when Mr. Trump asked President Zelenskiy “for a favor” investigation into Mr. Biden and his son, Hunter, who worked for a Ukrainian natural gas company.

Moreover, she accompanied Vice President Pence to a meeting with Mr. Zelenskiy in Warsaw on September 1st while discussing military assistance.
