Erdogan goes to Trump at the White House, that's what they discussed.

US President Donald Trump praised President Recep Tayip Erdogan's relationship with Turkey as the two leaders began a meeting to overcome disagreements between the two NATO allies, from Syria's policies, to Turkey's purchase of a Russian air defence system. Mr. Trump's warm welcome. [...]
Mr. Trump's warm welcome to the Turkish president comes to the climate of the Congress's anger over Ankara's October 9th offensive in Syria to repel a Kurdish group, Washington's main partner in the fight against Islamic State.
We've been friends for a long time, almost since the beginning. We understand each other's places. We understand each other's positions”, Mr. Trump told his counterpart while sitting side by side in the Oval Office.
“They are highly respected in their country and throughout the country”, Mr. Trump told President Erdogan and his wife, Emine.
He also said they would discuss Turkey's purchase of the Russian missile system S-400.
President Erdogan's spokesman, Fahlettin Altun, said on Twitter that Turkey has been clear about the reasons for buying Russian missiles.
Turkey's “needs a missile defence system is urgent. The U.S. should accept this and not allow the damage to our relationship. Turkey's participation in the F-35 aircraft programme is vital to our defence partnership”, Mr. Altun said.
President Trump also added that both sides would also talk about a possible trade deal worth $100 billion.
The United States and NATO allies have expressed deep concern over Turkey's purchase of the Russian S-400 missile system, saying they do not comply with the alliance's defence systems, and that they pose a risk to the American F-35 aircraft programme.
Washington and Ankara were found at another point of crisis over Syria last month after Mr. Erdogan made the decision to call an incriminate against Kurdish allies of the United States. / VoA
