Even the representative of the Democratic League of Kosovo in the Central Election Commission, Florian Dushi, has indicated that the main obstacle to completing electoral reform is the lack of political will in a part of the parties.
He says the LDK has been pro-creating an election reform since 2010.
“in the absence of electoral reform we have a process like this with which they're manipulating specific segments at the lowest level, which have perfected manipulation or abuse. This thing is then causing extensions of the process to correct it. So, it's good after these elections to have a process with an election reform”, Dushi has declared for “Zrin“.
He has mentioned some of the key problems that would be avoided by electoral reform.
The key problem is the one on the ground on election day. Those nominated by political subjects on Election Day practically do not carry out the work in accordance with the law, the word is mainly counting, describing results, voting and everything else. With an election reform, I believe it would be possible to remove these problems”, the Dushi has posted.
