The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) along with health authorities of all European countries has initiated the European Day of Awareness initiative for Antibiotics, which is marked annually on November 18th.
This initiative was marked several times in Kosovo, but not even this year.
A U.K. research has found that immunity from patients who receive antibiotics during therapy is half less than those who don't.
Cancer patients who have contracted antibiotics during immunotherapy have lived less than those who have overlooked these types of drugs, so says a study in the United Kingdom that has been done with more than 300 people.
Researchers have said that it is important to take antibiotics only when necessary. Likewise, doctors who treat these patients need to consult and cooperate closely with oncologists when handling such cases.
It's clear that we have to deal with infections that risk life with antibiotic” said a co-author, Nadine Tinsley of Christie NHS Foundation, where this research was conducted as well.
This research has been presented at the Oncology Presigious Association in Chicago of the United States, the world's largest annual cancer conference.
Researchers have conveyed the condition of 303 patients who were subject to treatment of immun therapy. These drugs work by activating the human body's system against cancerous cells.
However, researchers believe that bacteria in the digital system play an important role to activate the body's immune system.
Researchers have forwarded patients from January 2015 until March 2017 to Christie NHS Foundation. These patients have been sick with melanoma, lung cancer, and kidney cancer.
