Minister Berisha said the KSF transition cannot take place in a shorter term than before.
“are many factors that influence, it's not just time. We're dealing with personnel, preparing for weapons purchase, rising defense capacity. This plan, which is in advance, is well analysed and studied, and seen in detail as well as harmonised in the budget that we will have not to be a burden of Kosovo's budget. The recruiting plan is in advance. 2500 active I'll have in the future within the 10-year term, 5 grand active from 800 reserves we'll have 3 grand reserve. All of this takes time to prepare for various training. We are dedicated for now, we must continue with the comprehensive transition plan that any activity that is completed is well analyzed and long-term. Any capacity built to be with NATO standards”, Berisha said.
He has dismissed rumours that relations with international friends have faded after the tax is imposed.
Minister Berisha has said it has been rhetorical of some political leaders, citing also rumours that tax failure could affect Bondstheel's closure.
This has been more political rhetoric of some particular leaders, we've witnessed that there was a rumor that Bondsteel would be pulled out of here if the tax was not removed. But these are the political competition of some individuals, rather than having a reality, because Bondsteel does not function on the basis of daily politics, but have long-term plans. They do not make rash decisions. There was no faintness in the sense of cooperation. The U.S. has excellent co-operation, especially with the LOIA Guard, over 100 bilateral activities we have in cooperation between KSF-LOTA. We every time we talked with other states we've taken the LOEA Guard that we need to increase bilate co-operation between the two countries”, Berisha told Online Economy.
Speaking of the KSF's transition, the minister said they are in the first phase and what's worthy to be highlighted by him is that all the achievements and activities that have been scheduled to be realised in the first phase especially in the first year of the first comprehensive phase of the transition phase are in the conclusion.
The political “Liders made political competition, reports with international friends have not faded, and the Ministry of Defence since the laws entered into force have continued with progress in building their capacities, especially at this stage we have had some achievements involving sub-legal acts somewhere from 28 acts in regulation, 11 of them have been priorities and almost all have been completed under the deadlines that have been ahead in the entire transition framework”.
“Symbols, rank of officers, subcommissions, flags, interior reorganization regulation of the ministry and KSF, descriptions of tasks, KSF plates, and many other activities, but now, at the conclusion of this, it is worth stressing that we have 95 percent of the defence ministry structure, but also KSF, we have re-organization according to the new organisation or structure that has been approved by the Government of Kosovo, on the day of the Force, when it will be 27 when I believe that the line up of units will be also under the body structure of <og>
