In this case it became known that the record of criminal convictions in the central criminal evidence system has reached the number of 250 thousand registered sentences.
Skender Chocaj, chairman of the Kosovo Judiciary Council, said the census number has reached 250,000, and according to him this is a major achievement.
This number has reached 250 thousand registered sentences, this is a huge and extremely encouraging achievement. The Constitutional Court is an example. Recording data will also facilitate work for citizens”, he said.
Ricardo Serry, deputy head of the EU Office, said this project is very important for the work of the judiciary.
The rule of law is very important to us and the path to the EU. This project is very important and is the basis for doing something. This project that we have supported enables citizens to receive services more easily”, he said.
Aferdita Bytyci, chairman of the Constitutional Court in Pristina, said that the country's citizens will most benefit from this project.
This project will be useful to our country. So far 90 per cent of the materials have been registered. The system will generate data from 1999. With this evidence it will eliminate any dilemma for each citizen's past”, she said.
