According to the statement, as part of the operation conducted by EU police and justice agencies, there were 103 searches and seizures.
The artifacts came from the southern Italian region of Calabria. Two Calabres from the province of Crootne were at the helm of the criminal network, mediated in France, Germany, Britain and Serbia.
“Police forces from all countries involved helped break up the” network, Culture Minister Dario Franceschini stressed, thanking all those who helped in the investigation.
In the southern German town of Munich, historic coins were confiscated, following control of the apartment and the work space of a 31-year-old Italian woman and her 37-year-old brother. / A T S/
