Votes that came late from diaspora still unknown

The voters' service, which is under the Central Election Commission, has still made no decision for 4,000 thousand envelopes of votes from the diaspora, which have come late to the institution. CEC chairman and representative of The PDK, they say the law must be respected, meaning not to be accepted. While the prime minister's mandate, Albin Kurti stresses that all votes of the Magyar should be accepted, as according to him, it is not their fault if the post is delayed.
It's not our messenger's fault he's late. The will of those who fled Kosovo, whether because of social misery or because of political discrimination, is harmful so that their voice cannot be heard now. They keep the country with remittances. Now we throw out the vote I don't think it's the right way to do it, and it's the right way, exactly”, says Kurti.
Unlike Kurti, CEC chief Valdete Daka says they are still pending the Voters' Service to decide whether these votes are fair or not.
“The CEC will not make the decision for those votes, because voter service is the one who estimates the legitimacy of votes coming from the diaspora”, says Daka.
Meanwhile, representative of The PDK in the CEC, Ilir Gashi, says no decision should be made that conflicts with legal provisions, regardless of political wishes.
According to him, the law clearly states that any vote from abroad should be in Kosovo 24 hours before election day.
I have personally family living abroad, I have citizens, brother in Switzerland, the other one in Germany, and it can happen and their votes are in the container of four thousand packages that have come in, so we can't prejudge who they are in favor of, because they are closed packages. But we are called to respect only laws in power, despite the wishes of political leaders or political parties. The respective unit estimates, it is called to accept or reject packages coming if they are in harmony with the law or not”, Gashi claims.
These Wednesday votes, sent on September 19th and September 21st, but due to some technical problems, they have come out of the deadline, which is set until October 5th.
