The Turkish military confirmed on Wednesday that it had deployed a ground operation east of the Euphrates River” and later said it had hit 181 military targets.
Video footage showed civilians fleeing their cities until smoke appeared in the air from Turkish bombings, writes The Guardian, translates Periscopi.
Activists and observators said at least seven civilians had been killed so far.
This Turkish offensive was preceded by a phone call between Donald Trump and Erdogan, who made an initial exchange of American politics in the region, which practically betrayed key allies in the US region, Kurds.
On Sunday, the American president announced the withdrawal of American troops from the region.
This had also caused President Trump's associate parties to turn against him by feeling shocked by his actions.
Shortly after the bombings had begun, Trump had issued a statement gently criticising the Turkish offensive on Kurdish forces, along with which he had fought five years against ISIS. /Periscope
