Thaci has expressed gratitude for the support EU institutions have repeatedly given Kosovo in strengthening democratic institutions and principles.
“We are grateful for your role in monitoring the elections, but also for recommendations you make in order to improve even more the electoral process in Kosovo”, Thaci stressed.
The head of state has said that Kosovo is going through a normal electoral process, which this is confirming that “Kosovo has imposed tradition of free, fair and democratic elections, valued, as well as acceptance of the election outcome”.
President Thaci has expressed concern with reports of instigating Serbian voters in northern Kosovo and invited observers to be present in the north and report everything they will notice.
European Parliament member Cremon-Taubadel has expressed satisfaction that the European Parliament will also monitor these elections and have demanded that the recommendations it has given, which will give this observer mission, be taken into account by Kosovo institutions.
