I'm warning you that at this moment the counting process has begun of about 13 thousand and 500 ballots that have come through mail during the 19 September period of voting October 5th, 2019.
This count begins after the evaluation of the ballot packages that came during the voting period through mail. The assessment, as a process, is designed to identify a ballot with the person who sent the package so that the ballot is approved or refused.
Therefore, during the evaluation period, 16 thousand and 189 alleged ballot packages have been processed and, of them, 13 thousand 491 have been approved, while 2 thousand and 698 have been rejected”, Elez said.
He added that the reasons that have been rejected by some voters are different.
“Arsyet why about 2 thousand and 700 people are rejected as follows:
A thousand and 74 persons who have not applied in the period to register as voters abroad; 204 applicants who have been rejected during the application period to register as voters abroad; 62 persons who have been sent out with ballot packages more than once; 797 other cases when persons who have not been identified have submitted ballotation; and 561 people who have not witnessed the identity with ID documents (s who have submitted copies of expired documents)”, he said.
“The number of all these ballot papers will be made on 23 counting tables. The result of this count will be updated from time to time on the QNR table, as well as also the forms that are completed after this count will be scanned and published on the CEC Web site”.
While for votes from the diaspora that have come late, Elez has said they will not proceed.
“Election Voter Service includes only votes that have accepted within the legal deadline, not those that have come late”.
Counting all the CEC votes is scheduled to take place for a day and a half.
