This record was broken yesterday by the whiskey bottle called “The Macallan Fine & Rare 60 Year Old 42.6 ABV 1926.
The elegant round of 700 milliliters has exceeded all predictions, since it was previously estimated to be sold at 450 thousand pounds (59,000 euros) the maximum.
There's no price for good whiskey. This is undoubtedly the philosophy of buyers, a bottle of the Holy “Graal”, which broke the record at an auction held in London by selling at 1,45 million pounds, about 1.7m euros”, the Sothebys auction home today.
