Nobel's split for Handke was the scandalous quality of decision by representatives of Kosovo institutions, but also from world literature connoisseur.
Even in Pristina on Monday, protests are expected to be held in front of the Swedish Embassy, demanding Nobel annulment for Literature 2019.
For Professor Bardh Rugova, Nobel Prize for Literature 2019, for Austrian writer Peter Handke, it is the wrong and most harmful choice.
According to him, the same questions the role of art for mankind.
There is also the other side of the problem, which is the human side, the human side of this writer, a supporter of genocide and wars in the former Yugoslavia, I don't believe he could qualify to receive the prize and become an example for something. This questions why they award, what we want as a human community to achieve through these prices. And in this context, I call, for my own opinion a very wrong and harmful choice which above all questions the role of art for humanity”, he says.
Rugova says he has read a book by Peter Handke, and according to him, it was no such value that he deserved a price of that level.
He says there have been other cases when Nobel has been divided to persons who have not had any value, but he stresses that the jury decides on it and is their responsibility.
According to Rugova, such a case as Peter Handke should only be ignored.
While director Ben Apolloni has told Kosova Preess that at 11:00 on Monday, protest will be held in front of the Swedish Embassy in Pristina to request Nobel annulment for literature 2019.
The Swedish Academy's decision has also been requested by the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kosovo, such as <x0 just understanding and solidarity with all the peoples of the world struggling for freedom and democratic values”.
AAK has expressed deep disappointment with this year's Nobel Prize for Literature to Austrian writer Peter Handke.
To divide Nobel for Literature 2019, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has also reacted, under which the Nobel decision has brought enormous pain to countless victims.
Even the Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reacted, saying the Nobel Committee has awarded the award to the wrong man.
Immediately after the Swedish Academy's decision, Kosovo's ambassador to New York, Vlora Citaku, has also reacted, considering the Nobel committee's decision to reward writer Peter Handke scandalous.
According to her, this decision is absurd and shameful Handke was a man who praised the “Balkan Casap” and supported his genocide regime.
And today, Chitaku has written that we should take all email addresses of academy members who allowed a denial of genocide to win the Nobel Prize and send them names and photos of all victims in Bosnia and Kosovo.
Even the Kosovo Women's Network has joined local and international voices by sharply condemning the division of the award for Austrian writer Peter Handke.
Not only the Kosovo institutions, but even world professors have disagreed with this decision.
New York University Professor Anna Di Lelia has said he is accused of protecting Milosevic.
She wrote that at the funeral of Serbian President Handke had said “I do not know the truth. But I see. I hear. I feel. I remember. That is why I am here today, near Yugoslavia, near Serbia, near Slobodan Milosevic”.
Peter Handke's 2019 Nobel Prize revocation has been requested by Srebrenica's mothers.
Reactions have also been made by the institutions of Albania, where Prime Minister Edi Rama has considered the Nobel Committee's decision to be shameful, while the Academy of Sciences there has said it is absurd for an academy promoting peace to assess with Nobel someone who promotes hatred.
Two days ago, at the Swedish Academy in Stockholm, the awards were shared at “Nobel” for literature, where Polish writer Olga Tokarcuk is victorious for 2018, while Austrian author Peter Handke for the “Nobel” on literature 2019.
Following the extraordinary reactions that prompted this year's donation of literature to writer Peter Handke, a supporter of Slobodan Milosevic's regime, the Swedish Academy spoke.
Its permanent secretary, Mats Malm, told the New York Times that the committee makes selections on literary and aesthetic bases and that “is not the mandate of the academy to balance literary quality against political considerations”.
