The candidate for prime minister from Vetevendosje, Albin Kurti, has a new Bugjaxi Hourić, questioned about the plan for the score, has stated in addition that he will regulate the price of drugs.
He has found it unacceptable that drugs are sold 30 percent more expensive in doctors near the hospital than in downtown drugs, adding that this will no longer be tolerated.
For example, the drugs are now 30% more expensive if they are closer to the hospital compared to the drugs in the center of town. So, such things are really unacceptable and we shouldn't tolerate any more happening, Kurti said at Bugajski Hour.
But Kurti has made a setback since the minister of health from PDK ranks, Ismaili Bridge, has already adjusted the issue of the price of medicines.
Ismaili, in May of this year, for the first time in Kosovo has signed Administrative Guides that regulates and unifys drug prices.
“Done! Similar prices at any cheaper drug and medicine across Kosovo to realise a 20-year requirement of citizens and pharmacists. After a very challenging and extremely difficult job, today, for the first time in Kosovo, I signed the Administrative Guide that regulates and unifys the price of drugs. In the absence of this document, the state has bought over 6m euros worth of hospital medicine within the year, while citizens have spent about 10m euros in drugs per year. This directive marks one of the biggest reforms in Kosovo health. By opening a new page for the state and citizens, we will continue to stand up to our public responsibilities, with the citizen at the heart of each policy”, Ismaili wrote on Facebook.
