But, in the regions where Kosovo Serbs live, they were told that they have not met international standards, as according to them in those areas there has been damage, intimidation and orientation of votes to the Serbian List.
EU Mission Chief Violet von Cremon-Taubdel at a media conference talking about the election process said it was well organised and transparent.
The parliamentary elections were well managed and transparent. The observer mission has positively assessed the voting process, the campaign was alive. But on the trains where Serbs live, those who were not with the Serbian List were affected and intimidated. The process for Kosovo Serbs did not meet international standards. Election day was orderly and quiet, the overall assessment was positive. The CEC had transparency of the process -- this was the key feature of the CEC”, she said.
But, however, it has addressed some criticism over the lack of electoral reform, while saying there was media freedom during the elections.
Meanwhile, even from Parliament's delegation, Europe, Andrey Kovatchev said the elections were well organised, but criticised the way and form of political parties in Kosovo.
