Destructive earthquakes in the Philippines: At least seven dead so far

At least 7 people have died, and dozens of others have been injured as a result of an earthquake that hit the southern Philippines state, officials say.

Among the victims is a seven-year-old boy and his 44-year-old father, who died after the shots suffered by a stone, Reuters reports.

The 6.6 magnitude earthquake hit Mindanao Island, broadcast Periscope.

Authorities have warned that the death toll could increase further in the days ahead.
