Central Election Commission spokesman Valmir Elezi has indicated that the counting process is expected to be completed within tomorrow, until he stressed that more than 2 thousand and 600 packages of paper from the diaspora have been rejected after the evaluation process.

At this point, the counting process of about 13 thousand and 500 ballot papers has begun, which has come through mail during the September 19th period of voting October 5, 2019. This number starts after the evaluation of the ballot packages that came during the voting period through mail... During the evaluation period have been prosecuted and estimated 16 thousand and 189 alleged ballot packages, of them 13 thousand and 491 have been approved, while 2 thousand and 698 have been refused... we plan to count the number of these ballots from abroad to take place for a day and a half, at least so it's planning”, Elez said.
While announcing the nature of refusing the ballot, Elez said that in this count of diaspora votes, no ballot packages that have been accepted by the CEC after the period for voting abroad have ended.
Elez: No vote that came after the legal deadline is included in this count
“1 thousand of 74 people who have not applied in the period to sign up as voters abroad, 204 applicants who have been refused during the application to register as voters abroad, 62 persons who have been sent out with ballot packages more than once, 797 other cases when persons who have not been identified sent out, and 561 persons who have not testified with ID documents... The CEC's voter service has prosecuted on the basis of the obligations it has made regarding voting abroad, and that is only the votes that have been accepted on the part of the CEC before election day, thus not including those that were accepted after the constitutional deadline”, Elez said.
Regarding the ballot packages that have come from Serbia, the CEC spokesman said they are currently being investigated by relevant institutions, and that the CEC will announce meanwhile.

The count of all these ballot papers will take place on 23 counting tables. The result of this count will be updated from time to time on the QNR table, as well as the forms that are completed after this count will be scanned and released on the CEC site.
Otherwise, all Kosovo citizens in the diaspora have been able to vote via mail during the period of voting from 19 September to 5 October 2019.
