Cakaya: Kosovo's recognition and UN membership, acceptance of objective reality

Cakaj says that “during participation in the 74th session work of the General Assembly, I also met UN Deputy Secretary General for Political and Peacekeeping Affairs Rosemary DiCarlo
“First, we outlined in detail Albania's support for increasing the effectiveness of peacekeeping operations undertaken by the organisation and continued efforts to strengthen the Fund for Peace Construction. Second, we strongly stressed the need for membership of the Republic of Kosovo in the UN and recognition of its independence by all member states as a measure of establishing historical justice and accepting objective reality. Thirdly, we unveiled Albania's programme in service of Albania's candidacy for the non-permanent member of the Security Council's 2022-2023”, Cakaj points out.
The minister stressed that “Albania will always be a reliable partner and constructive factor in bilateral relations and multilateral organisations in general”. /Attish/
