Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov advises Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev not to resign if his country does not open negotiations, as there is still much work to be done, while several months' cancellation does not amount to endlessly for the process.
“I have talked to Zaev and my advice to him has been not to resign, after he has done much work and much still needs to be done. Nothing's over, but it's canceled. It was cancelled during Croatia's chairmanship. The fact that we have not agreed to have conclusions written by the meeting shows that the vast majority of EU states are for opening negotiations with northern Macedonia and Albania”, Borisov declared today prior to the EU leaders' meeting in Brussels.
Asked of France's opposition to enlargement, he said he could not speak on behalf of other states, but as he added, may mean that no state has said “no”.
