In a statement, her family said: “Hanna was a dedicated professional who made a bridge between the media and the community, helping to break borders in ensuring a voice and representation”.
Many will know Hannah for her extraordinary contributions to journalism and her work at the BBC. As we mourn her loss, hopefully Hanna's legacy will serve as inspiration and beacon for her colleagues and her community and meaningful memory”.
The family described her death as unexpected.
