What should be disturbing after the Kosovo elections is Albin Kurti's political programme for reunification with Albania, warns Austrian analyst Paul Lendvai.
Lendvai, in a comment published in the Vienna daily øDer Standard '%a, said the reason for concern for Kosovo's stability, including the region, is not Albin Kurti's political activity at “internal plan”, but his continuing nationalist course for joining Albania.
“With all the ethnic and linguistic diversity of Albanians living in four Balkan countries, as well as about 1.5 million in the diaspora, the dream of Greater Albania remains a political and emotional factor often unnoticed by”, he says.
Furthermore, statements in the case of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama should not be overlooked, notes Lendvai.
He also stresses that a frozen conflict can cause conflict at any time.
