And the total amount of waste treated for 2018 was 429 534 tons/year.

Survey of treated waste (AMT),
Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) publishes the results of the (AMT) Treated Waste Survey for 2018.
The main goal of implementing AMT 2018 has been to collect statistical data from businesses, dealing with waste treatment (the regional services, treatment of hospital waste, sterilisation and industrial waste treatment facilities), to provide sustainable statistical data, as well as the creation of time series.
The results presented in this publication provide an important statistical source for the current state of this sector.
The results from AMT show that in 2018: the amount of recycling waste was 3 193 tonnes/year; the amount of sterilized waste (the hospital plant) was 460 tonnes/year. And the total amount of waste treated for 2018 was 429 534 tons/year.
The amount of waste treated, according to the type of waste and treatment, expressed in percentage for 2018, was as follows: metals (51%); plastic waste (28%); hospital waste (12%); burned waste (6%); and paper and cardboard waste (3%).
The amount of waste deposited in sanitation and non-sanitary deposits in 2018 was 425 667 tons per year. Compared with 2017 data, by 2018 a slight increase of 2%.
