Uke Rugova's judgment on Italian visas business begins

When more than a year has passed since the last session of Uke Rugova has been held, the Pristina Foundation Court has finally scheduled the hearing of this trial.
Since EULEX has completed its mandate in Kosovo, and since the subject has been transferred to local judges, no court hearing has been held.
On January 30th of last year, it was reported that EULEX had renounced the trial of this case, transferring it to locals.
According to the indictment compiled by the Special Prosecutor, Uke Rugova was part of a group whose goal was material benefit, providing EU visa individuals Schengen from the Italian Embassy in Pristina, which were illegally taken or through corruption.
According to the indictment, 556 Schengen visas were taken by the Italian Embassy in Pristina in connection with the group's activities.
Together with Uke Rugova in this case, 20 other people are charged, including former Minister Astrit Haraqi.
