Turkish Foreign Affairs Minister Mevluüt Cavuşoğlu has declared Ankara is not afraid of US President Donald Trump's threats, reports the Anadolu Agency (AA).

Turkish top diplomat's comments came in response to US president's threat to attack Turkish economy if Ankara hits terrorist group P KK/ The YPG during the withdrawal of US troops from Syria.
The strategic “Partners should not speak via social media”, Cavuşoğlu stressed, referring to Trump's posting in his account at Titter.
“(SHBA) will economically destroy Turkey if they attack Kurds”, Trump wrote, considering the same “The terrorist YPG, a confusion Turkey has repeatedly criticised.
Cavuşoğlu said Turkey is not the enemy of the Kurdish people. He added that there is serious pressure on Trump not to withdraw from Syria.
After December's surprise announcement that American forces will withdraw from Syria, American officials said the withdrawal is conditional on the US not to attack “Kurd”, referring to PKK terrorists/ YPG's.
Turkish officials have criticised the identification of <x0kurd” with the terrorist group, saying the planned Turkish operation in Syria targets a terrorist group that similarly threatens Arabs, Turks and Kurds.
