Abelard Tahiri has today rejected a government proposal, through which the executive allowed the entry of goods from Serbia and Bosnia, goods that are in Kosovo Customs.
The country's first justice in the executive has later clarified on the social Facebook network, that the proposal for changing the tax regime 100 % for products imported from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina was selective.
“Today at the Government Meeting I have rejected the proposal for changing the 100% tax regime for products imported from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Any selective decision towards the tax regime for anyone referring to it is contrary to the principle of tax imposed on behalf of the Republic of Kosovo, such as the entity of all”, Tahiri has written.
Furthermore, Tahiri has stressed that the unanimously imposed tax should be worth all the same, rather than discourage local producers or promote the illegal transition of goods from these two neighbouring states.
Any selective decision on the tax regime is discouraging for local producers and incentives for illegal passing of goods. The first condition of rule of law is equality, so the unanimously imposed tax applies and should be applied to all equally. So, I strongly oppose such a selective decision” has ended Tahiri.
