Today's January 17th wrapped up Skenderbe's year, marking the 37th anniversary of the death of Yusuf Gervala, Kadri Zeka and Bardho Gervala.
The four heroes were remembered tonight at the closing ceremony of the year of Skenderbe, attended by Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, who said that Albanian land was protected by many generations, while simultaneously claimed that this land would not be taken from others.
“won't take any more Kosovo land, our country's, it's time that our land, our Arbeer trunk, will be respected by the rest of the”, Haradinaj said.
Haradinaj also said that the freedom Albanians enjoy today is due to many generations who are no longer living.
The line we have today has deep roots, with thousands and hundreds of years. This government and this people are very hard at dealing with all those heroes of those generations”, Haradinaj said.
In this case, Post Director Sejdj Hoxha was awarded to Haradinaj as the post office, dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the Prizren League.
This closing ceremony also featured a documentary summary of activities that marked Skenderbe's year, specifically in 2018 marking the 550th anniversary of Gjergj Kastriot. /Periscopi
