Swiss authorities have warned of the possibility of avalanches calling for increased caution, as the danger is great.
Local governance of the country called Disentis has announced that local residents, as well as several hundred tourists, have remained blocked, and currently have no way of moving because of the closure of roads and railway lines, Swiss media reports report, Kosovo Preses follows.
The situation is described as stable but problematic.
National Weather Service, MeteoSwiss, has revealed that parts of the alpes have seen snow of 60 to 90 inches [60-90 cm].
