Thus has Romanian Ambassador to Serbia Oana Cristina Popa declared in a conversation to the Serbian news agency “Tanjug”, adding that her state's stance on Kosovo's independence is based on principles and international law.
This approach is known and respected as such in the international plan and there is no external pressure for this to change”, Popa said.
According to the Romanian ambassador, Kosovo- Serbia is the only instrument for implementing the normalisation process and finding a solution that would satisfy the interests of both sides whose goal is the long-term stability of the whole region and the European perspective.
“Romania supports a comprehensive solution which both sides will accept and that will strengthen regional stability, will be long-lived, promote the European values of multi-cultural society, and that the importance of protecting national minority rights be recognised in itself and have regional support and support from the international community”, Popa said.
