The US Geological Ent initially announced that the earthquake was a 5.9-magnitude scale scale of Richter, but later said the earthquake was 5.5, Reuters broadcast. An Iranian emergency service spokesman, Mogthaba Kaledi, told IRNA that 29 people were hospitalised after the quake in Kermanshah province, all with minor injuries.
