Only within 11 months of 2018 in Kosovo are twenty-two persons who have committed suicide.
According to Kosovo Police data, such a phenomenon has come down year-on-year, while 22 suicides occurred during 2018.
Based on Kosovo Police statistics in 2016, 37 suicides and 229 attempted suicide have been recorded in 2015 by 60 suicides and 219 attempted suicide, 77 suicides and 261 attempted suicide have been recorded in 2014.
Meanwhile, according to the World Health Organization, about 800 thousand people a year die from suicide, which takes one person every 40 seconds.
