A young mother in the Swiss town of Luzerni has committed a macabre crime as the media report that she gave birth to two twins at home and took their lives by breaking them apart after several times on the wall.
She hid the body of one of the children in a giant bear and hid the pieces of the other's body in a laundry basket.
A court heard testimony from the Serbian-born woman named Jelica S., 23.
She said she was alone after recently separated from the baby's father and gave birth to her children by taking instructions from her laptop after having contracts.
She said: “I didn't know how to give birth to a child. I filled my tub with water when my pain started, I don't remember today how I did it, but I remember lying in my bathtub and I saw on the Internet what I had to do: 11x1>
Jelica S. gave birth to the first child himself, but she said to the court: "I was scared because she didn't cry properly. ”
She took the child down to the basement, carrying her washing machine and struck him twice on a wall before throwing it to the ground.
Jelica then wrapped up the child, who had suffered multiple cranial fractures and a traumatic brain damage, within an old Mickey Mouse bear.
In the court, she said: “I just put it there, I don't know what found me right now.”
About 31 hours later, she brought her second son back to the bathroom, and this time it is said that he was born dead. The sick mother wrapped her dead body in a towel and hid it in a laundry basket in the kitchen.
One expert told the court that if Jelica had gone to the hospital after her first birth, the second child could have survived.
Jelica, who lived in Lucern, has been found guilty of killing one of her twin sons on purpose, and the court found that another died with her negligence. Prosecutors, who said Jelica was unable to pay for an abortion, had demanded that she be imprisoned for eight years.
The prosecutor said: the “the accused has two faces, looks naive, actually she was in a position to burden”.
But the judge sentenced Jelica to 12 months in prison and also handed her an additional suspended sentence of 22 months. She said in her decision that the court “estimates that the actual crime guilt is very high”, but on the other hand, she said that “Subsequently was an emergency situation”.
The babies were born and died tragicly in December 2015, when Jelica was 20. /Albanian
