Education Minister Shyqi Bytyqi has said he does not know when the strike in education will end and when students can return to schools.
At KTV's “Puls”, Bytyqi has said he prefers the law on wages to be postponed until teachers and all other sectors paid by the state agree with the government's proposal.
“Greva is currently the most disturbing part of the education system. We've constantly tried to find a way out of this. The ranking of the São cofficiency has been given in the right place, the more we're pretending to have government priorities. We've given proposals, but we're not the decision-making minister. When we applied, it was made up, but not as much as we asked. There's a cofficient movement, and even after the adoption, we have a meeting to have a working group together and see how much we can move. After the strike we've always been against, it's chaos that belongs to us all. The government reflected at the second moment when we applied. The disagreement is impossible. They require 30 percent of the cofficiency that is in the salary bill. We've led a proposal of 0.2 or euro 50 or 48”, Bytyqi said in “Puls”. The choice is for all of us, the SBASK, the Government and Parliament. I don't know how things will turn out. My personal opinion is that the law is postponed. Let's sit down and discuss this. I expect rapid reflection and learning to begin. Have a choice, sit down and talk and deal. The personal thought is that there is a need for further postponement of the law and for a dialogue to be”, he said.
The Bytyqi further said that after SBASK's insistence that there should be an increase of up to 30 per cent, it has proposed that increased the income of teachers on their promotion. However, he has said that the bill does not predict how much this increase will be. He said that there has been a proposal that the advanced teacher has been able to have the coefficator 3, the man who thinks 3.3 and the man who is well-deserved 3.6.
According to Bytyqi, the bill has failed to bring pay levels, but “has competed over which sector can increase salaries”.
