The Kosovo government has decided on Tuesday to lift the 100 per cent tax for goods originating from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina that had entered Kosovo, but that they had no paying customs duties at the moment protection measures were imposed for products originating from both countries, writes today “Koha Ditore”.
The value of cheap goods is 2,189,041,95 euros.
If the tax wasn't lifted, the state budget could register that amount. But with the new decision, these stock stocks are subject to old taxes. As a result, the tax will only benefit 470,746,88 euros.
The data was extracted from a Kosovo Customs report drafted at the Government's request. The document, which has also provided “Koha Ditore”, shows goods status under the customs storage regime, respectively, goods originating from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina that have been placed in this customs regime following the deployment of safeguard clauses to import.
