In a new draft he worked for during the weekend, which Kohavision provided, it tells of increased cofficients, even in proportion to what Haradinaj had presented at an extraordinary media conference after meeting with SBASK leaders.
In the original Law for Salaries, the high school teacher's cofficiency was 2.3, so that when it is translated into wages on the basis of the value of a 239-euro cofficient, it would mean that the salary of this educational level would be about 550 euros. In Sunday's Haradinaj proposal, this salary was proposed at 597 euros. He was rejected by unionists. The government has decided not to change this proposal, and as such it will go to the Kosovo Assembly Commission for Administration. So, eventually, the Government raised this cofficiency to only 2.5, which translates into 597 euros at wages.
In the original Law, the government had classified all teachers in the primary cycle at coefficiency 2, or translated 478 euros in wages. In Haradinaj's proposal, this salary was raised to 525, which meant a rise of the cofficient to 2.2. The new proposal has spread into two categories. Educators in lower high school (6-9) have raised it to 2.35 or about 560 euros, while for the lower middle education category (1-5), it has left it at 2.2, that is, 525 euros.
In the teachers' category in the pre-school system, the Law was nominated for 1.9, or 454 euros for salary. Haradinaj had proposed setting up 501 euros, or 2.1 with the co-efficiency. In the new proposal, it has grown to 2.15, or about 515 euros.
At 1.9, the tutor's position went from 1.7 to the first proposal.
We remember that teachers have entered the third week of the strike at the request that the cofficients at all levels of education increase by 30 percent.
