It's also a highly simple “excretion”: just milk and chocolate, as the very appointment of this drink explains.
Yet, it turns out that many people do not understand how chocolate milk is produced - some really believe that chocolate milk is milk produced by brown cows.
It is not known if these people think that the cow also produces cocoa and sugar, but “chocolate milk” are sure to come from brown-stained cows.
A study by the American Milk Invention Center found that 7 percent of Americans believe that chocolate milk comes from brown cows. It translates into about 16.4 million people who were neither children but all over the age of 18.
Although 7% had an alternative, the brown cow, another 48% had no idea where the “Chocolate milk” came from.
This is not the first study to draw disturbing conclusions about American knowledge of what appears to be basic information. Previous research has revealed that almost one in five Americans does not know that hamburgers are made of meat.
