Donald Trump doesn't back off the wall with Mexico

Friday's meeting between him and the already empowered Democrats ended with the latter's refusal to support the funds of the structure on the border with the neighbouring country.

The created stalemate has prompted the White House chief to block full government financing until he receives the money for the wall he promised during the election campaign.

Trump made it clear that it is prepared for the partial closure of the American administration, now in its third week, to last years. Currently, 800 thousand federal employees are staying at home or working free of charge.

Trump, however, described the meeting as productive, but the Democrats had another opinion.

We had a long and occasional tense conversation with the president. We agreed to continue our meetings. But we Democrats understand that we cannot solve this issue without opening the government first, and we made this very clear to President”, said Nancy Pelos, chairman of the House of Representatives.

Trump's argument is that the country needs protection while insisting that crime, drugs and gangs are flocking to the United States from Mexico.

He even made it clear that by proclaiming national emergency, there may be no need for the green light of Congress to build the wall.

A border barrier with Mexico, according to the American president, can also be made of steel, it is not necessarily a concrete wall.
