A company in the Netherlands has begun to practice this type of “therapy”, and many people are welcoming it.

CarSmash, they say, is a good way to put out the anger they have out of the long wait in traffic or other problems.

CarSmash founder Marline Bosusien has said that the idea of this activity is to help people turn away anger and reduce stress.

I believe CarSmash is a great way to get rid of anger. Instead of breaking cars on the street or somewhere in which it's forbidden, you can do that in a legal location”, Bosuzeen said.

However, for psychologist Joana Pantazi, this type of violence - driven therapy sounds frightening.

It kind of scares me. This time it's the cars, but later it might be something else”, she said.

Pantazi has said that if this repeats itself, people can begin to like it and take it for granted.

It's different if you only do that once. Yet, it is complicated because they may like it and may continue to express aggression in this way. So you give yourself the message that this thing is okay instead of learning more productive methods, for example, to calm yourself or control your emotions”, Pantazi said.

Meanwhile, the mental health foundation “Mind” recommends co-operation therapy as a way to manage aggression.

According to this foundation, aggression is part of being human, but it can be best managed through co-operation therapy, reports the BBC, Kosovo presents.
